Tours2UAT Recorder Privacy Policy
The Tours2UAT Recorder is a Chrome extension operated by Odev Solutions Co ("we"). It records the steps a tester performs in an Odoo database so that Tours2UAT can turn them into user acceptance test (UAT) procedures. This policy explains what the extension handles and where that data goes.
What the extension records
The extension records only while you are recording, and only in the single browser tab where the recording runs. For each step it captures:
- the control you clicked, the value you typed, or the option you selected, together with the field's label and technical name;
- the address (path) of the Odoo page before and after the step;
- a screenshot of the visible part of that tab, taken shortly after the step; and
- the Odoo version reported by the page.
The extension never records what you type into password fields. It does not read other tabs, your browsing history, or pages you visit while not recording.
Where recordings are stored
Recordings are stored in your browser's extension storage on your device. The extension does not send them anywhere. They remain there until you discard the recording or uninstall the extension.
When you choose Download .recording.json, the recording is saved as a file on your computer. If you upload that file to Tours2UAT, it is stored in the Tours2UAT project you chose, in our Amazon Web Services (AWS) account, and the recorded steps and screenshots are sent to Amazon Bedrock to generate the UAT text. Uploaded recordings and generated content stay with that project until it, or the Tour, is deleted in Tours2UAT.
Starting a recording from Tours2UAT
When you click Record a new tour on the Tours2UAT website, the Tours2UAT server signs in to your project's Odoo database with the credential you selected and gives the extension an Odoo session cookie. Your Odoo password is never sent to your browser or to the extension. The extension keeps the session cookie in memory only (it is cleared when the browser closes), sets it as a cookie for that Odoo site, and opens Odoo in a new tab. This replaces any session you already had for that Odoo database in that browser.

What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or to determine creditworthiness or lending eligibility.
- We do not transfer it to third parties, except the service providers that run Tours2UAT (AWS, including Amazon Bedrock), and only to provide the service.
Your choices
- Pause or stop a recording at any time from the toolbar icon.
- Remove individual steps, or discard a whole recording, before you download it.
- Remove the extension's access to an Odoo site in Chrome's extension settings.
- Ask for uploaded recordings to be deleted by deleting the Tour or project in Tours2UAT, or by contacting us.
Recordings contain whatever appears on screen and whatever you type, so record against test databases with test data where possible.
